Community service since 1906 . . .
March 6, 2018 marked the 112th anniversary of the founding of the Hemet Woman’s Club! Celebrating the women whose foresight envisioned a community library and dedicated their efforts to insure its success. Today we carry on that tradition. The legacy handed down from the original group of 10 women has, through the years, fostered the club’s motto of ‘Living the Volunteer Spirit’ as it continues to provide a commitment to community service.

Message from Your Club President
The Hemet Woman’s Club is a volunteer and fundraising organization for women who want to make a difference in their local community. Every year our members volunteer their hours, talents, and resources towards the completion of our chosen civic and charitable goals. Along the way, we have fun, forge ties to our community, and form lifelong friendships.
“Hand in Hand Together We Can!” is the motto selected this year to guide our members through the months of volunteer service. As for the motto of our parent organization, General Federation of Women’s Club, we support “Unity in Diversity” as we welcome all to volunteer in the diverse areas of our community. Each year we support our public schools by giving scholarships to graduating seniors and awarding 10th grade students an opportunity to participate in the Hugh O’Brian Youth or H.O.B.Y. leadership summer seminar. Our annual Youth Writing Contest recognizes students in grades 4 through 12 for efforts in creative writing. We hope to extend our student recognition this year by way of a Youth Art Contest.
In the spring, our popular Pinwheel Project is conducted in local schools and preschools bringing public awareness to students and parents of the growing problem of child abuse. We work tirelessly to help many of the other local non-profit 501(3) C organizations such as Ramona Humane Society, Valley Restart, the Historic Hemet Theatre, and the Ramona Bowl. As you continue to browse our web site you will see that there are many projects, events, and activities to appeal to most individuals interested in helping out those in need.
Hemet Woman’s Club welcomes all women from Hemet and the surrounding communities to join us.
HWC President Reggie Mattox, 2018-2020
